CHERYL Cole has stayed the night at her former marital home, it has been reported.

Pop star and former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is said to have stayed overnight at her former marital home in Surrey.

However, Ashley and Cheryl are not said to have shared a room during her stay at the �5m property.

A source close to the couple told a national newspaper: "They were saying what a special night it was. They were mucking about like old times just playing pool, smoking and having a few drinks.

"There wasn't any awkwardness between the two of them and they seemed very comfortable together."

The insider added: ?She feels very unsettled and Ashley can provide her with comfort and stability. She?s confused about her future and wants some time to hide away and think.?
