There was no denying the Pride NBC's The Voice espoused throughout its inaugural season. Now, with the finale out of the way and on break before season 2 (which Christina Aguilera just signed on to judge!), host Carson Daly talks a bit about the unintended gay-friendliness of The Voice.
(Spoiler Alert: we discuss The Voice's crowned winner after the jump)
Two of the four finalists, Beverly McLellan and Vicci Martinez, on season 1 of The Voice were openly gay. Still, noted favorite Javier Colon (heterosexual, despite his last name) took the win. In the wake of the hoopla, host Carson Daly spoke with The Wrap about the show's gay factor moments after the finale wrapped.
?The thing about The Voice is no one knew anything about anybody,? said Carson.?It?s not like it?s a gay friendly show on purpose ... There wasn?t any bias, but we embraced the fact that the gay community was so well represented in our show, and we were very proud of that."
Did you watch The Voice this season, Instincters? Happy Javier won? Excited that Christina has officially agreed to return for season 2?
