Lindsay Lohan has rejected a plea deal in her jewelry theft case that would have ended the case early but sent her to jail.
Los Angeles District Attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison tells ET that Lohan informed authorities she would not be appearing in court on Friday. The decision means Lohan's case will now be heard by a new judge who will convene a hearing in April to determine if there is enough evidence for the actress to stand trial.
Lohan is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, CA jewelry store in January, but the actress has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.
