NEW YORK ? Celebrity chef Guy Fieri lives in his dream home. But he says the place was a dump when he bought it.

Fieri, who hosts the NBC game show "Minute To Win It" and the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," nevertheless saw its potential when he first laid eyes it 14 years ago.

His instincts were right; he still lives in the ranch-style home in Santa Rosa, Calif. with his wife and two young sons. The home now includes a 900-square-foot kitchen, game rooms, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. He even built his parents their own place nearby.

Fieri's career has taken off, but the 43-year-old TV star says he doesn't have any plans to uproot his family. Anyone who's ever invested in a fixer-upper likely understands his emotional attachment.

Here's a look at the evolution of Fieri's home:

A FIXER-UPPER

When Fieri and his wife, Lori, were looking for their first home, they had a deadline in mind: move into their new home in time for their son's first birthday.

The problem was that they didn't see eye-to-eye on much else. Fieri dreamed of a sprawling, rustic property; his wife had a more modern space in mind.

After seeing dozens of homes that didn't strike a chord, their real estate agent picked Fieri up one morning to check out a place that had just come on the market.

"The house was a dump," Fieri recalls. There was a beat-up looking car in the driveway and a camper in the backyard. The floors were covered in shag carpeting.

Yet somehow he instantly knew it was home; he loved how it was surrounded by lots of trees and land. He told their agent he'd take it on the spot.

RACING FOR MOVE-IN DAY

His wife called him a "dead man" when she saw the property a week later. But Fieri was confident he could transform the rundown property into a home where they could grow their family.

On the day they closed on the property, contractors were on site to start knocking down walls and gut the place.

"We painted every surface, pulled out all the flooring," Fieri says.

It was nonstop work, but Fieri delivered. The family celebrated their son Hunter's first birthday in their new home just a month later.

THE HOUSE TODAY

The renovations didn't stop after they moved in. The home has since been greatly expanded and is now defined by an abundance of wood and natural light; Fieri counts 27 skylights.

The low-key décor ? defined by lots of black iron, ornamental handles and hammered out steel ? might surprise some, given Fieri's loud, colorful onscreen personality.

"It's not industrial, but it has those components," he says.

THE HEART OF HOUSE

As a chef, Fieri considers the kitchen his home office. That's why he built a 900-square foot kitchen in the space where the patio previously stood. The kitchen sports his-and-hers refrigerators and a digital juke box. There's also a flat-top griddle and three sinks with foot pedals.

"It's the main focal point, where the kids do homework and where we have meetings," he says. "It's the center of the house."

A BIG PLAYLAND

One of the major attractions of the property was that Fieri knew he'd be able to give his children the same outdoorsy childhood he enjoyed.

Over the years, Fieri carried out that vision by creating "a big playland'" for his sons and their friends. The spacious backyard, pool and basketball hoop are the main attractions. But his wisest investment may have been a $175 trampoline. It's still one of the most popular features of the home. Rain or shine, Fieri says "there's always a kid jumping on it" whenever he looks out his window.

STAYING PUT

Once he started gaining some fame, friends and family started asking if he would move. Fieri admits his life would be a lot easier if he did; it currently takes him more than two hours to get to the airport.

"But it was critical for me to keep my boys in their home," he says. "That's how I was raised ? on a small ranch in Northern California ? and I wanted to give that to my boys."

Celebrity Circuit Charlie Sheen's character to be killed off "Men"? 3 of 9 - CBS News

(Credit: CBS)

(CBS) Now that Ashton Kutcher isheading to "Two and a Half Men,"series creator Chuck Lorre reportedly wants to make sure Charlie Sheen (and his character, Charlie Harper) can never return to the show again.

TMZ reports, citing sources connected to the CBS sitcom, that Harper will be killed off.

Pictures: Charlie Sheen

The new season's first episode won't be filmed until around Aug. 5, according to the website, but producers are already imagining scenarios for the character's death. One of them reportedly includes Harper driving his car over a cliff - which would be fitting, since two of Sheen's carswent down a clifflast year.

And while it looks like Sheen won't be returning to "Men" (except, perhaps, via the afterlife), TBS is also denying reports that the actor is heading to the network.

RadarOnline.com reported that Sheen has signed a sitcom deal with Lionsgate Television that would have him playing a character similar to his "Two and a Half Men" persona. "Networks and cable are bidding on the show right now, with TBS being the front runner," an insider said, according to the website.

But the network denies the talks are happening.

"TBS is not in discussions for a possible project with Charlie Sheen," a spokesperson said in a statement.

Jessie J receives death threats

The London-born singer has enjoyed a stellar 2011 thanks to the chart success of her debut album Who You Are, but admits her time in the spotlight has been marred by nasty insults and menacing threats.

She tells Q magazine, "I've had people say, 'I wanna kill you and your family.' Death threats. I've had people say I hope you get HIV and throat cancer at the same time... They say I look like a drag queen. I think the world has become obsessed with hating things."

But the Price Tag hitmaker refuses to let the taunts get her down: "People who wanna spread bad energy, I ain't got time for them to be in my psyche."

Has Snooki been putting a little more stress on the "G" in her GTL routine?

Now back from Italy, where the "gym, tan, laundry" gang was filming season four, Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, 23, seems to be gearing up for season five by working out.

The pint-sized reality star was spotted heading to the gym Monday with cast mates Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, who will all be heading to the Seaside Heights, N.J., house Sunday to begin filming the next season.

And despite her concern that all the spaghetti in Italy would interfere with her diet plan, Snooki seems to have steered clear of excess carbs. The reality star looked fit and healthy in her black and grey gym get-up.

"I definitely want to get in shape and be healthy again," she told PEOPLE in January. "But it's really hard to eat good when you're traveling because you see fast food and you want to go to this restaurant and that restaurant."

It wasn't me: Healy-Rae on 3636 Dail calls to win TV show - Irish Independent

Kerry south TD Michael Healy-Rae said that he didn?t know if it was right or wrong that he won a celebrity TV show with 3,636 calls made from a phone in Leinster House.

The Independent representative said that he didn?t know who had made the calls as he was not there at the time.

?I didn?t ask for taxpayer?s money to be used. It?s not as if an individual took money for their own use. The money was for charity. It was not my responsibility,? he said.

The calls made to premium phone lines and costing a total of ?2,639, were made from the phone of an elected member of the Oireachtas to the Celebrities Go Wild contest in October 2007.

All of the money raised went to People in Need and TDs and Senators are allowed to make calls free of charge so no rules were broken, according to the report of the incident in today?s Daily Mail.

Asked today if the money should be paid back, Mr Healy ?Rae said today that he was not involved in making the calls and he didn?t know who was. ?The calls came from Leinster House but nobody could say if they came from one phone, five phones or 25 phones,? he said.

His father, the former TD Jackie Healy-Rae said that he didn?t believe he had voted for his son from a Leinster House phone as he had a mobile phone.

?There wouldn?t be a hope in the wide earthly world that I?d be in a position to make that number of calls. Not an outside hope in the world,? he said.

Independent TD Finian McGrath said today that we couldn?t have a situation where public money was being used for private purposes and said he would be raising the matter with his other Independent colleagues in the Dail today.

?I was shocked and appalled when I heard about it. We need a proper investigation into it,? he said.

It is understood that the number of calls was so great that an automatic dialling facility may have been used.

In the contest, celebrities including Michael Healy-Rae, the late Katy French, Michelle de Bruin, Daithi O Se, Alan O?Neill, Mickey Joe Harte and Victoria Mary Clarke, competed in a series of physical challenges in Connemara. The winner was voted for on 60c premium phone lines.

The show, which was broadcast on RTE, attracted 445,000 viewers nightly.

A statement from the Oireachtas confirmed that in 2007 a spike in calls to a 1513 number was brought to their attention by their telecoms service provider and as a result all calls to that number were blocked.

?In total 3,636 calls to 1513 717107 were made from the Oireachtas phone system. Each incurred a charge of 60cents, plus VAT, giving a total of ?2,639. That charge was paid by the House of the OIreachtas Service in accordance with contractual obligations,? the statement said.

Celebrities Go Wild was RTE?s equivalent of I?m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here where eight celebrities were left to their own devices in Connemara

Chuck Liddell Takes HUGE HIT In Custody Fight

Chuck Liddell got smacked around by his baby mama in court today -- when an L.A. judge ordered the fighter to pay $6,000 per month in child support after Chuck no-showed to the hearing.

0627_chuck_liddel_tmz_ex

Liddell has been going toe-to-toe with his ex Lori Geyer for months -- in an effort to gain custody of their 12-year-old son.

But today in L.A. County Superior Court, the judge came down hard on Liddell -- because in addition to the child support, Liddell was also FINED $2,500 for failing to produce financial documentation requested by the court.

TMZ contacted Liddell's lawyer, who told us Chuck didn't show because "[Lori's] attorney failed to provide notice in an attempt to obtain favorable decision."

But Lori's attorney, Brian Kramer, tells us he has proof that Chuck received notice -- adding, "[Liddell's lawyer] had no valid excuse to boycott these proceedings."
