Report: Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler Split

All the fun Kristin Cavallari had at her recent engagement party may have been in vain.

Sources have told People.com that Kristin and her NFL fiance Jay Cutler have called off their engagement.

Jay, a quarterback for the Chicago Bears, proposed to Kristin in April while on a trip to Mexico.

Kristin held her engagement party on July 16. The next day she tweeted her appreciation, writing, "Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night!"

"She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location - everything was set," the source told People. "She's in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way."

Dehydration is the easiest, temporary way to lose weight, but the loss of minerals makes one very weak. If any of the girls on Thursday have sweated too many pounds off in the sauna, their canter down to the six-furlong start will end in Chichester.

It doesn?t matter how many times they?ve set their alarm clocks before dawn, arrived sleepily in a trainer?s yard in time to admire someone else tacking their horse up and had a nice run up the gallops, they still won?t be race fit.

And to compound that, by the time they get on the horse in the paddock, they?ll have forgotten to breathe properly for the last hour.

But, for one second, forget the tight breeches, the designer silks an the ?Jilly Cooper-esque? tales of what went on in the training stables as these girls stretched every sinew to get into shape for next week.

As far as I?m concerned this race is about a major betting opportunity. Dido Harding, the CEO of TalkTalk, will be in a different class when the flag drops.

She is a consummate horse woman who was as feared in her time in the ladies? changing tents of West country point-to-points as Boadicea. She?ll have ridden this race a thousand times in her head already. And any thought of defeat will not have featured.

My advice to punters is to search the websites of off-shore bookmakers for the best price. Given that they don?t have to pay Levy or Corporation tax, they will be in a position to offer the best value on Ms Harding.

Sudeikis dreamed of acting after Cheers visit

The Horrible Bosses star is nephew to funnyman Wendt, best known for playing Norm on the long-running sitcom, and was thrilled when he was invited to the TV studio to watch the cast at work.

And after seeing how much fun the show's stars were having, Sudeikis began to dream of a career in Hollywood too.

Sudeikis tells talk show host Alan Carr, "I did (visit) once when I was in middle school, probably 13 years old. I remember they were rehearsing, him and Woody Harrelson and John Ratzenberger and Ted Danson, they were in the middle of a rehearsal.

"They had this long steel pipe and they made a homemade blow dart with a piece of tape and a nail. They were all sitting across the room, shooting across the bar, the Cheers bar, trying to hit a poster. I was like, 'This seems like the greatest job in the world, I wanna do that when I grow up.' Subconsciously... but now I got to (sic)!"

Talk about a star-packed resume! I was checking out the list of celebrities hair stylist Oribe has worked with and it?s so many that it fills an entire page!

There are more than 100 stars on that list? everyone from Beyonce to Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson. He did January Jones? hair for her May W Magazine cover and Penelope Cruz for her June Vogue cover. Phew! He?s one busy guy!

Every one of these ladies has to-die-for hair, so who better to give advice for keeping our hair healthy-looking during the brutal summer months?

Here are Oribe?s tips and product recommendations:

?When you?re going into a swimming pool or heading to the beach, especially if your hair is colored, it?s all about coating your hair. A leave-in moisturizer, like my Supershine Moisturizing Cream, is a great product to run through your hair before getting in the water. Use enough to coat the entire hair shaft ? that could be a quarter-size amount or a bit more for most people. Remember that when you go into the water, some of the product will rinse out, but the key is to get a base level of protection to shield your hair from damaging UV rays, salt water and chlorine.?

?Chlorine, of course, can have a very negative effect on hair, especially for blondes. If you go swimming a lot, try coating your hair with a thicker product, like my Original Pomade, which will stay in longer as you swim.?

?Don?t worry about your hair too much, though - enjoy the summer! The beach can do beautiful things to your hair, and the sun can play with your color in very interesting ways. After you go swimming in the ocean, it?s nice to rinse your hair out to prevent your scalp from getting itchy, but if you like to keep that wonderful beachy texture, then you can encourage it with products. I have a great wave- and shine-enhancing product coming out soon that?ll be perfect for the textured look, but will add healthy moisture and shine.?

'Man Of Steel' Henry Cavill Reacts To Production Delay

SAN DIEGO ? Plenty of fans were surprised when news broke that the release date for Zack Snyder's Superman reboot, "Man of Steel," was pushed back six months to June 14, 2013 ? but none more so than the would-be superhero himself, Henry Cavill.

"They broke it to me gently," he told MTV News on Saturday (July 23) at San Diego Comic-Con. "I was just told the other day. It's OK, it's nothing to do with me. That's stuff which I have no control over. I just focus on the character and do my job."

Speaking of stepping into the shoes of the iconic superhero ? or tights, rather ? Cavill said he's "prepared enough" but anxious to start production. "I'm really raring to go," he said. "It's exciting, humbling, and about time to get started."

Of course, Cavill couldn't divulge many details about the upcoming shoot or what his fellow cast members may or may not be doing in the film, but he did provide a delightful anecdote about his first meeting with co-star Russell Crowe (who is playing his father, Jor-El).

Cavill recounted one of the very early days in his acting career when he worked as an extra in a film Crowe was shooting at his school. "I walked up to Russell, shook his hand, and said 'I'm thinking of becoming an actor. What advice do you have?' He said to me ... No, I won't say what he said," Cavil said with a smile, indicating that his response might have included a swear word or two.

"Two days later, I received an Aussie rugby jersey, a [CD] and a signed picture from 'Gladiator' [with a note that read] 'Dear Henry, A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, Russell.' Cut to 11 years later, at what is the high point of my career, and here we are."
