Britney Spears To Shoot 'Criminal' Video In England

Before Britney Spears kicks off the European leg of her Femme Fatale Tour later this month, she is taking care of a little business in England. Spears took to Twitter to reveal that the country would serve as the locale for her "Criminal" video.

"So excited to stop over in the UK before I start my European tour in a few weeks," she tweeted. "Can't wait! I LOVE London, it's like my second home. Decided to shoot the 'Criminal' video in the streets of merry old England when I get there..."

The news of the video shoot comes a week or so after the singer revealed to MTV News that her next single would be the Femme Fatale slow jam. She also teased that she had some interesting ideas for the video.

"The song, when I first heard it, it's really different and it's not anything I've heard like this before," she told us backstage at the VMAs. "So I really wanted to deliver this song. I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting. You'll have to see."

Just in time for her Euro trip, Spears also graces the cover of Glamour's U.K. edition. In the magazine, the singer opens up about her next personal milestone: turning the big 3-0.

"I think the older you get, the wiser you get," she said. "I can't wait. I'm really excited and definitely gonna celebrate and do something spectacular. I'm gonna be in South America so I'll have to do something pretty fun. A carnival of Britney?"

Spears wears a dress with sequins and feathers on the cover, and in the article, she says she'd love to have William and Kate stop by one of her shows in London. "That would be amazing. That would be really crazy and cool. I think they're a beautiful couple," she said. "Unfortunately I didn't get to watch the [royal] wedding, but I heard it was beautiful."

Fighters Set To Enter Gaddafi Town By Force

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi is rumoured to be among a convoy that has fled across the Niger-Libya border as forces anti the toppled leader plan to peacefully take hold of Bani Walid, reports have said.

Al Jazeera television reports that new regime forces are to enter the pro-Gaddafi town south of Tripoli without fighting around midday after a deal was struck earlier.

The National Transitional Council (NTC) reportedly negotiated a peaceful handover with the town's tribal elders.

The deal comes a day after the council gave areas loyal to Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, including Jufra, Sabha and the former Libyan leader's birthplace in Sirte, another week to surrender and avoid bloodshed.

As negotiations were made and the new regime forces were poised to strike at Col Gaddafi's last bastions, reports emerged that 11 members of the toppled dictactor's entourage, including security chief Mansour Daw, had fled across the border.

There were unconfirmed reports the colonel, whose whereabouts have remained a mystery, was among the group.

But his spokesman, Moussa Ibrahim, insisted Col Gaddafi remained in Libya and that he and his sons were ready to fight to the death.

Bani Walid is one of Col Gaddafi's last strongholds. It is home to the powerful Warfala tribe of about one million people, who had remained loyal to the ousted regime.

Col Gaddafi's most high-profile son, Saif al Islam, reportedly fled to the town soon after the fall of Tripoli.

On Monday, NTC negotiator Mahmoud Abdul Azil said anti-Gaddafi forces were just six miles (10km) away from Bani Walid and moving forward, ready to attack what he said were about 100 pro-Gaddafi fighters there, if necessary.

But he added: "Hopefully it will be done without bloodshed."

Meanwhile, the grim toll from the months of conflict in Libya continues to slowly emerge.

A doctor at a Tripoli hospital told Sky News she believes as many as 30,000 men are missing.

Dr Aman Said Hamad said she feared they might never be traced - believing many were now dead.

Many relatives of Libya's "disappeared" have begun posting pictures of their loved ones at hospitals as it is only now, with the fall of Gaddafi's regime, that they can hope to find them.

The father of a boy injured in a grenade blast at his school who is receiving treatment at the hospital also told Sky News how doctors cannot cope with caring for all the injured.

Rashid Ahmed said his maimed son Abdul, 15, needed surgery on his limbs but resources were scarce.

Consumer Reports Not Starstruck By Celebrity-Branded Foods - The Consumerist

It seems like celebrities of all stripes will allow their names to be attached to any number of products, from Whitesnake wine to the bottled manly essence of Bruce Willis. And just like all retail goods, the quality of celeb-branded items can vary wildly. That's why our test-lovin' cousins at Consumer Reports recently decided to try out a slate of food products with star-powered names.

Beyond the curiosity factor, CR looked at celebrity-branded foods because a number of them cost significantly more than leading national brands, let alone generic and store brands. So is it worth paying the extra price for some TV star's face on your box of pasta?

According to Consumer Reports, half of the 26 celebrity foods it tested were rated average, while 10 were rated "Very Good" and only three ? Giada De Laurentiis Tomato Basil pasta sauce, Mario Batali Marinara sauce, and Wolfgang Puck Tomato Basil Bisque ? earned a Rating of Excellent.

CR also warns that, while celebrity brands often cost more because they contain fresher and/or better quality ingredients, a famous name doesn't guarantee that you'll get anything different than you would from Kraft or Campbell's.

"Don't be starstruck," said Tod Marks, Senior Project Editor, Consumer Reports. "Read labels, when possible, to look for clues. Fortunately, trying these everyday products carries little risk; they're relatively inexpensive and if they fail to live up to expectations you haven't broken the bank."

Cameron: 'Britain Will Stay Out Of Euro'

David Cameron has told MPs Britain will remain outside the Euro as long as he is Prime Minister.

Mr Cameron was giving evidence to the House of Commons Liaison Committee when he made the pledge.

He said it was in Britain's interests that the Eurozone "got its act together" while also protecting itself.

He told MPs: "We are not going into the euro, but our relations with the eurozone matter.

"We want a eurozone that works, that functions and functions better than it is at the moment.

"The Chancellor and I have both said that the logic of monetary union is a greater fiscal union and we see the eurozone countries moving in that direction.

"I don't think we should stand in the way of them making some progress."

He added: "I have always said there are some areas where Britain could benefit in taking some powers back from Brussels.

"But I think we are someway down the road from a treaty."

Murdoch Hits Back At Hacking Email Claims

MPs will test James Murdoch's assertion he knew nothing about a crucial email in the phone-hacking scandal when they quiz former News Of The World executives today.

The News International chairman has reportedly cancelled a trip to Asia to monitor first-hand what is said at the select committee hearing because he knows his credibility as a witness and a business leader is on the line.

When James Murdoch appeared with his father Rupert before the Culture, Media and Sport committee in July, he was asked if he knew about a document known as the "for Neville" email which is seen as critical to the hacking inquiry.

The email indicates that the practice of hacking was more widespread than News International (NI) originally admitted.

James Murdoch said he was unaware of the document at the time he sanctioned a payout totalling hundreds of thousands of pounds to the Professional Footballers' Association chief Gordon Taylor, whose phone was hacked by the News of The World (NOTW).

His denial of knowledge of the email was subsequently contradicted by Colin Myler, the NOTW's last editor, and the paper's former lawyer Tom Crone, both of whom will give their side of the story to the committee.

Daniel Cloke, ex-HR director at NI, and Jon Chapman, NI's former head of corporate and legal affairs, are also due to appear.

Conservative committee member Louise Mensch MP said: "The accusations that are on-record and have been published are fairly incendiary, but those accusations are as yet unproven."

Mrs Mensch wants to hear from Mr Crone and Mr Myler what evidence they have that James Murdoch did know about the "for Neville" email when he told the select committee in July he did not.

Mark Lewis, who represented Mr Taylor when he won his payout from the NOTW, says today's evidence to the select committee will be fascinating.

He said: "It's not just a smoking gun, but a gun being fired. It's all about the email and whether Tom Crone showed it to James Murdoch.

"If James Murdoch knew about that, then what he gave in evidence last time was either very forgetful or he lied to parliament.

"Either way it would be the end of James Murdoch, one would have thought."

First celebrity cooks invaded our living rooms on PBS and the Food Network. Now they?re taking over the kitchen with their eponymous sauces, soups and other products. But does adding an A-list name like Lidia Bastianich, Mario Batali or Giada De Laurentiis guarantee good taste? Consumer Reports tests show that sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn?t.

In our most recent tests of celebrity products, we tasted foods likely to appear on our readers? shopping lists including pasta sauces, salad dressings and soups. In addition to brand-name celebrities we tasted brands from such restaurant favorites as Original Bookbinder?s in Philadelphia, and Delmonico?s and Rao?s in New York City as well as from Hollywood heavyweights including Francis Ford Coppola, Paul Newman and Paul Sorvino.

Our conclusion: Don?t be starstruck. Although many of the celebrity sauces, soups, and dressings we tested were a step up from the leading national brands, some were merely okay and others had faults. There was an excellent or very good pasta sauce to suit most tastes. Give first consideration to top-rated Giada De Laurentiis Tomato Basil, a buttery rich sauce sold only at Target. It costs $3 and is a CR Best Buy. Most consumers would not expect that sauce to come from a jar, our testers concluded.

Other sauces are expensive but worth a try. Mario Batali?s is the choice if you love garlic, Rao?s if you like it slightly spicy, and Paul Sorvino?s if you prefer a mild sauce that tastes mostly of tomatoes.

Among soups, Wolfgang Puck?s Tomato Basil Bisque was the standout: It was creamy, thick, and fresh-tasting. Our tasters weren?t impressed by any of the minestrone soups, even Puck?s, because most had mushy vegetables or pasta. As for salad dressing, Rao?s was the best of the bunch, but Cardini?s was very good and was lower in fat than the rest.
